On Saturday, Nov. 12, members of the Benedict Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad traveled to Prince Frederick Volunteer Rescue Squad to train with Calvert K9 Search and Rescue. Members of both departments learned the different types of dogs used, different seach paterns, and information about the team. Demonstrations were held in the woods to demonstrate the types of search paterens and how each dog operates. A special thanks go out to the Calvert K9 Search and Rescue and to the Prince Frederick Volunteer Rescue Squad for hosting the training. It was a very educational experience.
