Working Fire in Baden

Firefighters from Benedict and other Charles and PG County departments battled a fire in a large single family home early Friday, March 30. Fire/EMS units were alerted to the 36-11 box around 3:00 am for a house fire in the 16200 block of Bald Eagle School Road. Engine 5-1(G. Foard) responded with three. Tanker 5(B. Robertson) also responded. First arriving from PG County arrived to find a 7000 square-foot single family home with smoke showing. A fire was located in a basement bedroom which took about 40 minutes for firefighters to extinguish. A precautionary second alarm was sounded in the event the fire spread to other areas of the large structure.
