Benedict Runs Working Fire In 10's Area

On Nov 1, 2014 at approx. 17:33 hrs, Station 5 was alerted for a house fire on Bridgett Ln. Engine 51 responded with 4, with Chief 5 responding to the scene with the engine. A-158 arrived on scene and advised it was a working house fire on side A. Given that information, command requested additional tankers, bringing Tanker 5. Tanker 5 responded with 2. Chief 10-A had the Bridgett Lane Command. Command ordered the evacuation tones for Ladder pipe operations. The ladder pipe was used to knock down the heavy fire. Engine 51 worked with companies 2, 1, 10, St. Mary's 2 and 14 to extinguish the remaining fire. After the fire was knocked, all crews performed overhaul operations. Units were on the scene for about 4 hours. During the fire, ambulance 58 ran a medical call in Hughesville.
