Recruitment
Requirements for Operational/Administrative membership are as follows:
1. A minimum of 16 years old.
2. Pass a Maryland State Police and Fire Marshal criminal back ground check.
4. If attending school must obtain a work permit and a report card.
5. If you have a valid Maryland drivers license you must obtain a driving record through the Maryland Vehicle Administration.
6. A will to serve the citizens of Charles and Calvert County.
7. Attendance at THURSDAY night drills and business meetings.

To become a member, you do not need any previous experience; all training will be provided for free.

Sleep-In:
Requirements:
1. Must be turned over to ride the apparatus.
2. If under age of 18, written permission from Parent/Guardian.
           (Sleep-In on non-school nights only)
3. Approval of the Fire Chief.

Retention:
As becoming a volunteer member of a fire department you receive several benefits.

This is your chance. We are looking for highly motivated people who have a willingness to help others and are ready to learn. We will teach you EVERYTHING you need to know. We work with the University if Maryland fire Rescue Institute to get you certification courses in EMT, Firefighter and more for FREE!
