Thank you for being firefighters and keeping people safe. I applaud your service to your community. Thank you for all that you do. I’d like to let you know about some special Firefighters tribute pages on my website. I set them up to honor firefighters everywhere. If you get a chance, please check them out. Stay safe and have a great day.

Nice and informative site. Would like more information on volunteer possibilities - beyond firefighter or EMS. We would like to help our community, but are not able to do heavy physical labor. Thanks and keep up the good work. We appreciate you!
Just wanted to wish you all a merry christmas and safe new year.
Goodnight.

I am looking for my EMT instructor from around 1989-90. Her first name was Estelle and was running with BVFD at the time. Just tell her that I was the nervous one she thought would never make it past EMT-Basic. I went on to GWU for my EMT-P and ran with CCMICU until 1996. I hope she is well and I would like to hear from her. Please pass this on. Thank you!

Wheres the story about the first due job you guys had the other day. I heard you guys actually had some FIREMEN on the engine who did an excellent job. None of the 2/20 heroes on the engine, so it doesnt warrant a web posting? You put transfers and b.s. crashes on there but nothing about a job well done by the firemen. Well if the stories ive heard werent exagerated, good job to the dudes on the piece that actually put a fire out and dont just talk about doing it. Stay safe.

To all fire personnel and their friends everywhere;
We need your help, we have and opportunity to provide the Oneida Ky. VFD with a brand new fire engine from E-ONE, all you have to do is go to the web site, e-one.com and click on the vote now screen, next screen scroll down, scroll down to the oneida vol fire dept, click read and vote, next screen scroll down to bottom of letter click vote, next screen has 5 lines to fill out, 1 your name 2 your e-mail address 3 your fire dept affiliation or area 4 select not sure 5 select commercial pumper, click vote, next screen click close. You will receive a confirmation e-mail, you must open this e-mail to have your vote counted. Remember 1 vote per e-mail address.
In order for us to win this new piece of equipment, we have to accumulate the most votes out of the seven letters that are competing for this brand new engine. This feat will not be accomplished by hundreds of votes it will be accomplished by thousands of votes.
When they finish counting the votes there will be six second place finishers, with your help we will be able to present the Oneida Kentucky Volunteer Fire Department with the first place prize of a brand new pumper.
The voting ends April 24 at 1 PM. EST.
Only people with e-mail addresses are eligible to vote.
Please pass this e-mail along to everyone you know lets start an avalanche of votes.
Again, I am asking you to visit the web site e-one.com and vote for the Oneida Kentucky letter.
Just checking out the site and also would like to extend a welcome to any riding members that would like to come down sometimes and enjoy some weekends and/or weeknights responding with P.G. County's BUSSIEST Truck Company 17 (Boulevard Heights VOLUNTEER Fire & Rescue Dept). We are looking for members to join us. We are not trying to take members just if they feel they want to come down sometimes they can and still be members at there companies in other counties. Contact us!

Wow, you guys have come along way since I first joined in 1968.
The 1970 fire house picture is what I remember the most.
The only name I recognize is Dallas. I remember when his dad was Chief and Dallas would hang out before he was old enough to join.
How about a section set aside honoring the past Chiefs and Presidents?
They are the reason for keeping it all going to the great company you have today.
Best of luck to all who go into a burning house, on purpose.
Hello comrades a wonderful page ye here we wish you a happy new year 2009
