| On Thursday, 4/26/2012, the Benedict Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad held a fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse in LaPlata. The fundraiser was a good turn out with the 50/50 raffle and the boot drive. Plus with each flyer presented during dinner, 10 percent of the bill went to Benedict VFDRS. Benedict Volunteers also did fire prevention in the parking lot. The crews showed off new Engine 51 and talked about fire safety.
