Benedict Runs First Due Barn Fire

In the early morning hours of March 1, 2014, Station 5 and surrounding stations were alerted to Teagues Point Road for the barn fire. Engine 5-1(D. Johnson), Tanker 5(A. Robertson), Command 5 (A. Ruslander) and Ambulance 5-8(B. Weems) responded with 10 personnel. Engine 22 arrived on scene to find a fully involved barn fire with an auto fire. Engine 5-1 arrived and assisted with fire extinguishment. A ladder pipe was set up, and after a few minutes, the fire was extinguished. Multiple companies assisted with overhaul and with hitting the hot spots. Benedict units operated on scene for three hours. Thanks to Seventh District for filling in.
