Durining Christmas time, Benedict has the privilege of escorting Santa though out the first due. This year was no different. On December 18, 19, and 20, units from the Benedict Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad escorted not only Santa, but also his helpers. On the 18th, Maxwell Hall and Teagues Point Road areas were visited and then on the 19st, Rt. 231 areas were visited. Ending the three night flight, the town of Benedict got the chance to encounter Santa. Candy canes were passed out and the community enjoyed the visit from old Saint Nick. The members also had fun as well.

On the 19th, children were able to have lunch with old Saint Nick, do crafts, and have pictures taken with Santa just prior to his ride on the fire truck.
