First Due Medical Turns into Fly Out

On Friday, May 13, EMS 5 was dispatched for a patient that fell within their first due. Ambulance 58 responded with 3. Ambulance 58 arrived to find a patient with head trauma. The crew then treated the patient. A backboard and collar was used. Calvert Medic 104 and Paramedic Ambulance 27 assisted 58's crew. The patient was then loaded into the back of the ambulance and was transported to the Landing Zone off Prince Frederick Road. Trooper 7 was already on the ground when 58 arrived. The patient was then loaded into the helicopter and was flown to a local trauma center. All units cleared shortly after.
