Engine Company Runs Working House Fire In Mechanicsville

On July 3rd 2018 at approx. 1650 hours, St. Mary’s Communications put out a box alarm in the 39000 block of Decoy Way in Mallards Landing for a reported house fire bringing Engine Company 5 (Eng. 5-1) on the initial alarm. The first due Engine went on scene of a 2 story single family with heavy fire showing from the second floor and through the roof. Upon arrival, Eng. 5-1 was assigned RIT with Leonardtown Truck 1 shortly later Eng. 5-1 crew was re-assigned interior on division 2 and went to work helping open up and extinguish remainder fire . Eng. 5-1 operated for approx. 1 hour.
