Company 5 Runs Second Due Fire

On Monday, July 30th 2018 shortly after 2200 hours Charles County Emergency Services dispatched a box assignment to the 14000 block of Foster Lane in Hughesville for a house on fire. First arriving engine went on scene with a 1 story single family dwelling with heavy fire showing from side Alpha, Charlie, and Delta. Engine 5-1 ( Lieutenant Ruslander) quickly arrived as the second due engine and advances a 250’ line into the house from the Alpha/ Delta corner where they were met with heavy fire conditions. Tanker 5 ( F/F Mercure) and Command 5 (Chief Ruslander) arrived shortly after. By the quick actions of all the arriving company’s the fire was controlled. Company 5 units operated for approx. 2 hours before returning.
