On Saturday October 15, 2005, Engine 5-3 and a few members went to MFRI's Headquarters in College Park. This year marks Maryland Fire Rescue Institute's (MFRI) 75th Anniversary of life safety training. Engine 5-3's crew participated in making attacks on fire in the training building. They also attended the ceremony in which a few awards were presented to key people that helped make MFRI successful. Among several speakers were the University of Maryland's President, Director of MFRI, Senator Steny Hoyer and many other well known people. Thank you to MFRI for inviting us to participate in this event.
