Saturday February 11th turned out to be a busy night for the five members sleeping in, during the snow storm. The night started off at 11:20pm, when Eng 5-3 with 6 personnel, responded to Calvert county commercial box 211 for the working structure fire. The crew of Eng 5-3 was assigned with RIT and assisting with overhaul. While on the scene, the station was alerted for an ambulance assist and Eng 5-4 responded. Shortly after Eng 5-3 returned to quarters, and the sleep in crew had just settled back into bed, they where alerted to Leonardtown Road for the vehicle into a building. Eng 5-3 and Amb. 5-8 responded with a total of 7 personnel. While enroute, Squad 2 arrived on scene and placed the assignment in service. Moments after the engine and ambulance returned to quarters, station 5 and EMS 2 where alerted to RT. 231 and Animal Shelter Rd. for a vehicle overturned. Eng 5-3 and AMB 5-8 arrived on scene and found one vehicle on its side. Further investigation revealed that the Pt. had crawled out of the vehicle. Eng 5-3 remained on the scene to assist 5-8 with packaging the Pt. The Pt. was then transported priority 2 to Calvert Memorial Hospital. At approximately 6am the following morning, Eng 5-4 responded to Hughesville for wires down but was placed in service by Eng 2-4.

Units: Eng. 5-3, Eng. 5-4, Amb. 5-8
