Boat 5 runs working boat fire in Solomons

On Thursday, June 8 at approximately 11:30 am Boat 5 was dispatched mutual aide to Calvert County in the area of the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay for the boat fire. Calvert communications advised all occupants were off the boat and taken ashore by DNR Police. Calvert Boat 3 went on the scene with a working boat fire. When Boat 5 arrived on scene the fire was knocked. The crew assisted with hitting hot spots and applying foam. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the U.S. Coast Guard.
