January 6, 2007

On January 6, 2007 at 0315 hrs as Ambulance 5-8 was clearing a call for seizures, Calvert Communications dispatched Company 5 and Ambulance 5-8 to Macs Hollow Rd. and Adelina Rd. for a MVA. Calvert Chief 2B arrived on the scene to find one SUV overturned over a guardrail. Chief 2B established the Adelina Rd. Command. One patient was found already out of the vehicle. The patient was turned over to an awaiting ambulance from Company 4 and then flown to PG Trauma. The patient said there was another occupant in the SUV. Due to the grade of the land the SUV was located on and the mud conditions extensive stabilization was utilized. After searching the vehicle, under the vehicle and the surrounding area, using a thermal imager, no patient was found. Units from Benedict cleared at approximately 0430.
