The Benedict Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad held their fourth annual kids Halloween Party at the firehouse. Kids aging from infant to 7 years old participated in the events. Events included face painting, art projects and a costume contest. The costume contest was broken into three age groups, ages infant to 1 years, 2 years to 4 years and 5 years to 7 years. The winners were given age appropriate toys as their prizes and all kids walked away with something for participating. The Benedict Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad would like to thank all those who participated for making this event a successful one, and especially to Charlene Martin who heads it up every year. We would also like to thank Mrs. Ray Pierce for her donations and Serenity Farm for donating several dozen pumpkins. The members of the Benedict Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad wish all kids a SAFE and happy holiday season.
