At approximately 1:50 am on Saturday, Benedict Volunteers were dispatched mutual aide to P.G. County at the Chalk Point Power Plant hazardous materials incident with fire. Rescue Engine 5-2 under the command of Lt.5 (A. Stephens) responded. When Rescue Engine 5-2 arrived on location they staged for approximately 15 minutes. Command then had Rescue Engine 5-2's crew report to the roof with a foam inductor and three five gallon buckets or foam to assist with extinguishment of the fire. The fire was under a catwalk on the roof. Calvert Tower 2 used their K-12 saw to remove sections of the catwalk for easier accesses to the fire.
