Benedict Volunteers Run Working Fire in Golden Beach

On Tuesday, October 12th, Company's 2, 5, and 3 were alerted to St. Mary's County for the single family house fire on Holmes Road in Golden Beach. Rescue Engine 5-2(FF/EMT Stephens) responded. While enroute, St. Mary's Engine 22-4 arrived on scene to find a single family house with light smoke showing. Prior to arrival, Rescue Engine 5-2 was advised that the fire had been knocked down by 22-4's crew. When Rescue Engine 5-2 arrived, the crew assisted Charles Engine 2-3 with salvage and overhaul. Once the walls were opened, the crew knocked down the hot spots. Rescue Engine 5-2 operated on scene for 30 minutes before being released.
