The Benedict Vol. Fire Department and Rescue Squad was notified today that it has been approved for $86,589.00 in grant funds. A portion of these funds will be used to purchase one thermal imaging camera and receiver. The rest of the grant will be used to upgrade our current Scott SCBA to 2002 NFPA standard, purchase 10 additional Scott Pack 50 SCBA with spare bottles, and 50 AV-2000 SCBA mask so every active member can have his/her own mask. A special thanks to members Estelle White and Sean Kerrigan for their hard work and dedication in completing this project with such a successfull outcome.
