Benedict Runs Golden Beach Fire

On Monday, July 29, at 4:30, Engine Company 5 was alerted to 40416 Bay Drive in Golden Beach for the working house fire. Rescue Engine 5-2 (F. Griffin IV) responded with 4. The first arriving unit went on scene with a 2 story single family house fully involved. Rescue Engine 5-2 arrived and the crew reported to side Delta. 5-2's crew started opening up the walls to gain access to the fire. Then the crew operated a hand line to extinguish the fire. Once the fire was knocked, the crew then began overhaul operations. Rescue Engine 5-2 operated on scene for 2 and a half hours.
