On Saturday August 21, 2004 at 1:00 pm the Red Knights Chapter 4 held a ride to raise money for the LT. Justin "J-Ryde" Hutchinson Memorial Scholarship fund. Around 100 riders and apparatus from various dept. showed their support. The ride was lead by Chief 12-B, Chief 2 and Engine 5-2 which is dedicated to Justin. Other county apparatus covered intersections along the route. The ride started at Apehangers Bar & Grill in Bel Alton and finished at the Benedict Marina in Benedict, MD. The ride went past Lt. Hutchinson's grave site and Benedict Fire & EMS Dept. At the Marina the Red Knights had food door prizes and a 50/50 raffle. Another supporter were the U.S.Angles. The amount raised is unknown at this time but the support was beyond value. A special thanks to Chief 2, Chief 12 B, Waldorf VFD, Bel Alton VFD, La Plata VFD, Hughesville VFD.
